The standards also require that each panel be marked with an Arc Flash Hazard Warning Label. NFPA 70E requires an arc flash risk assessment every five years, for equipment 50 volts or more, for major facility upgrades, and in other cases
When entering an electrical cabinet greater than 50 volts you must dress up in proper PPE per NFPA 70E, even if its just to connect to your PLC with a laptop and troubleshoot your equipment, BUT one way around this is to install a bulkhead and connect your PLC to the bulkhead, then when needing just plug directly into the bulkhead without opening the cabinet, this will keep you in compliance and save you a lot of unnecessary downtime.
