Product Description
These are the same lessons that we included with our PLC Trainers, they can be used on any Siemens S7 200 PLC.
You do not need the PLC as we are including a PLC simulator with the lessons but you do need MicroWin software and it is NOT included with the auction. All programs have great documentation showing each step and explaining every instruction
Lesson 1: Basics - A Simple Latch Circuit
In this lesson we will cover step by step writing of the program, downloading to the CPU, editing your program and downloading again. (Includes 20 pages)
Lesson 2: Software Tips
In this lesson we will cover some of the key features of Step 7 Micro/Win.
We hope this will make your life easier and save you some time in the end., Instruction Tree, What's This ?,Start program status, on line Help Feature (Includes 7 pages)
Lesson 3: PLC Scan Cycle
In this lesson we will cover the scan of the PLC and the way the CPU looks at the logic and determines what to do with the logic you have created, if you understand this then programming automated equipment will be much easier. (Includes 3 pages)
Lesson 4: An Event Recorder Program
Lesson 4 is a program where we are going to RECORD a series of inputs and PLAYBACK the data as outputs. We are going to use the MOVE, TABLE, COUNTER and BIT instructions to record up to 20 values that will determine which outputs will be energized. We are going to record either a 22 or a 33 and play them back in the order of first one in, first one out. If a 22 is first to be recorded, it will be the first played \ back. (Includes 4 pages and one program)
Lesson 5: Grinding Machine Program
This lesson is a simple programming exercise ... the operating sequence of a small grinding machine is to be automatically controlled by a PLC. (Includes 6 pages and one program)
Lesson 6: Tracking Parts on a Conveyor Line
Timers, Moves, Shift, Increment and Comparison Instructions
In this lesson, we will cover some advanced instructions to simulate tracking boxes on a conveyor, a common task. We will be manipulating data and using a number of internal relays to add switches to control several different functions
that we would normally have to have extra hardware for, but with a PLC we simply just add more Networks of code to accomplish the same thing. (includes 3 pages and one program)
Lesson 7: Peak HMI
In this lesson we will interface your trainer with your PC and run Peak HMI. It will run for 2 hours in configuration and 20 minutes in runtime, then the program needs to be restarted, just click double click on the icon again. This is a great way to get comfortable with an HMI (Human Machine Interface or MMI Man Machine Interface) as more and more machines are using them to control some or all of the interaction of the human side of the machine.
Lesson 8: Pump Sequencing Program
This is a pump sequencing program, many times you will have several pumps on the same system for backups, faster draw downs and other reasons. So in this lesson we will cover Timer On Retentive (TONR), Move Word (MOVW), Greater than or Equal to Integer (>=I), Add Integer (ADD_I), Pointers and many others. Also you will find some methods of troubleshooting, some of the things that we want to teach are ways you can troubleshoot and commission your equipment, PLCs are tools intended to help you, make you look better, make your job easier and more efficient. (Includes 3 pages and one program)
Also includes a Simulator, the simulator does not simulate the PLC software it is to simulate the PLC and test your programs, you MUST have Siemens MicroWin software and this auction does not include Micro/Win software.
Our lessons are not anything you will find in the manuals and these are not like any other programming lessons, these mimic real machines that you will come across in real life and you will learn how to program and troubleshoot the real thing
